But the weather is fickle, and summer can feel like the depths of winter. And in winter, it’s bitter, as all the colour is sucked from the countryside. The sea turns wild and scary, and the inviting waters are long forgotten.

You have to be hardy to weather a Cornish winter. And when I was feeling low, it was the thing I wished to escape the most.

Until he came into my life.

After him, there were two things I wanted to escape.

I amble along the edge of the beach. The weak sun barely warming my skin. Whenever I feel a moment of heat, the breeze steals it, chilling me back down. As I continue, I wrestle with the lifetime of feelings this place threatens to dredge from me.

In the last twenty years, I’ve walked on many a beach. But never back here. Never in Cornwall. But I’m not in a position to choose the white sands of the Maldives or somewhere glorious and sunny in the Caribbean.

This was my family home, and I had no choice but to come here, for a time at least.

Gather myself. Plan and put this failure of a marriage behind me.

The happiness I escaped here to find might still be a step out of reach. Especially when being back here only reminds me that time hasn’t healed the wounds I ran from in the first place.

Gamble has been drawn to Victoria from their first argument so when she is dumped at the clubhouse abused and battered with a note to him on her chest. He knows he has to help her move on and to stay away from her. I absolutely loved how riveted I was to this story and couldn't put it down. I love how this MC family and the women are truly the heart of them all. I loved Gamble and Victoria's story, so heart wrenching. Can't wait for more!!!

I have loved this series all along and I wanted more of Karma and Judge's story and what a story this turned out to be. This was more than Karma and Judge's story it was all the members including the next generation. This book was simply incredible and the ending blew my mind!!!! I highly recommend this entire series and author, D. Williams will blow your mind.

Wow what a journey Olivia takes you on. Olivia has found out some bad stuff about her fiancé even records it and runs to the one man that her brother told her she can trust to take care of her. Scott "Spec" is still suffering under the guilt of losing his best friend that when Olivia shows up needing his help, he does the only thing he can and that is push her away. When danger not only comes to their door by an old enemy but also the trouble chasing Olivia, Spec knows he can't just walk away. I truly loved this story and it proves to me why Lilly Atlas is one of the best authors I have read. The true background of this story is all about forgiveness and family. I was so spellbound that I couldn't stop reading, I had to know what happened next. I personally think you should read the other books in this series but it can be read as a stand alone as well. Highly recommend anything Lilly Atlas writes but especially this series full of amazing characters.
