Evander is finally out of prison but still on parole. Going back to him home, he finds his front yard has been turned into a city dump. With his dog back in tow after a nasty ordeal at the vet, he finally feels some peace.

Kennedy is a farmer and from a family of farmers. Cancer has doomed her family for a long time. Losing her mother and now possible her sister has her worried and when it is confirmed, her brother in law all but shuts her out. She loses them all after her sister dies.

These two are a great pair but they each have to open up. They both have nasty pasta but sometimes love can override everything. Can they find happiness? Can Kennedy have a normal future? This book is a definite must read.
