~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Ashton has has such a traumatic life so far, some of which she has only shared with her therapist. When the neighbor across the hall keeps trying to talk to her it pushes her out of her comfort zone and into a place she is not sure she is willing to or can go. Lincoln is so intrigued by Ashton but it takes forever for her to even say what her name is. He just can't seem to get her out of his mind. Can Lincoln push past the darkness of her past and will Ashton finally let someone else in past her darkness?
I have seen some reference to this being a dark romance and I don't classify it as such. There are some parts that may trigger for some but this is more about a woman finding her way out of the horrors of her past. It shows her strength as she battles with the evil that was done to her for three long days. This book had it's moments that just gripped my heart; like that first moment when Natalie and Lincoln brought color back into Ashlyn's life was so special and it touched my heart. I would recommend this book but be warned that it isn't all hearts and flowers, but it is not what I would call a dark romance.
