Scarlett Anderson to the outside world appears to be a regular bike courier, but in reality she is a protector of mankind. She has lived a lone existence since she lost everything on her 18th birthday but when she meets Detective Gage Williams everything changes. Scarlett cannot resist him or what is making her want to be with him. Everywhere around her is danger, she can't let herself fall for Gage but she can't resist him either.
This book was more than just a romance to me, it touched my very soul in a way that I will never forget. The true meaning that lays within these pages is one for the ages. I loved how Melissa pulled me in and touched me in this way. Normally I read romance books and they touch my heart. This book touched the very essence of who I am and what I believe. In this world everyone needs someone and no one should go at it alone. This story shows us that to be true and the true will of God. I highly recommend this book and I wish I could give it more than five stars. Amazing read.
