~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Kayci Pierce has always been different and she has to hide most of her abilities because most people would not understand of accept her differences. She has never felt like she belonged until she is rescued by Adrian Spade from a creature that shouldn't exist outside of a Hollywood movie. This starts an unsuspecting Kayci into a future she destined to be part of. Adrian intrigues her and there's this pull whenever he is near her. Can she turn her back on him and walk away or will he pull her further into danger, hate, anger, jealousy and betrayals that lay before her?
I have to start off by saying I love paranormal books and I read the synopsis for this one and thought that it would be right up my alley. I wasn't wrong. This book never disappointed. Some may think this book is long but I didn't read anything that dragged or wasn't necessary in this story. The characters are strong and well put together. The author has a story to tell you and you don't want to stop reading until she finishes her story. I can't wait to see more of the future for these characters. Thankfully there is two more books in this series. Well done Betty, this book gave me what I have been craving in a good paranormal book: it had love, hate, jealousy, passion, sexy vamps, conflict, fighting, intrigue and danger. Definitely a must read!!!
~~~~~~~~~~Lillian's ★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~

How do you handle the truth about your parents? Kayci has just found out that she is very special and that she is half human and half vampire but that also makes her a danger to others. She has been saved by Adrian and he just wants to get to know her and he has no idea that she isn't human.

As he knows that he will have to tell the covenant what she is and the law says that she will need to be destroyed. But Danika beats him to it she send one of her followers to tell them.

They call a meeting together and they all get to meet Kayci and they are about to learn who her parents are, they were a strong witch and vampire who ran as it was forbidden for them to have children together.

Kayci life will hang in the balance as not everyone agrees that she should be allowed to live, there is a traitor in the covenant so no one is safe.

Can Kayci get her friend back before it is too late?

Things are about to change for Kayci someone that has been missing will reappear when she needs him the most but he will almost destroy her can she ever forgive him? Her & Adrian will learn that they can have a future together and that they can make it work even when everything is going insane. A great interesting story, a story of acceptance, new beginnings and goodbyes.

I really liked Thorne, his last comments to Kayci got me thinking that more is about to come.
