Leo and Evie were brought together by a sad circumstance and when they were teenagers they were pulled apart but made promises to each other. When Leo fails to fulfill his promise Evie must build a life without him. Eight years later when a handsome man named Jake comes into Evie's life she feels a special pull towards him, little does she know Jake is a man of many secrets that may destroy what they are starting to build. This book had a story that was heart wrenching with all the pain these characters went through. It just showed that it may look perfect on the outside but what is inside a person can be totally different. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Such an amazing story and I highly recommend this.
