Butch O'Neal ex-cop and has lived his life hard and doing what he thought was right even when it may not be right for everyone else. The one vampire female he wants can't be his as he is human and not worthy of her. He feels he has nothing to lose and the only thing he wants is to be an equal with his brothers but he may pay the ultimate price in the war that wages around them. Butch is such a tough guy and a perfect addition to the brotherhood, his love for Marissa broke my heart. This story was so great!!!
