Lance wants to take things to the next level with his girlfriend Abby. So he plans to ask her to marry him when he takes her home to meet his family at Christmas. When she gets an emergency call from Megan, who is watching her Mom for her, says his brother has reappeared causes Abby to leave Lance and rush home. Lance wants to go with Abby but she insists he stays with his family.
Abby's brother Aaron wants more than a reunion which causes Abby to push Lance away and put up more emotional walls. He wants to propose to her but he can't with so much between them. Will Abby push Lance away so far that there is no coming back?

I really loved this series and seeing all my favorite characters reappear in this book made my day. Chris, Megan, Matt and Hannah all come back for this book. I love the complexity of Lance's relationship with his Dad. I love Abby's Mom and how they interact in this book. A lot of questions I had were answered in this book. Aaron the brother is a scumbag who dumped everything on Abby and left, now he is back with ulterior motives. Great story with great characters. Jerica MacMillan is definitely a must read author.
