Brenda wanted nothing more than to escape her abusive husband and when one night he abuses her more than she can stand, she runs away and straight into the arms of a strange alien as he promises her to be his bound. On their way to Zorn; his far away home planet, their ship is attacked and her bound is killed. As is Zorn law his brother will take possession of her once he returns to the planet. In the meantime she is put under the protection of Argis Rever. He already is bound but he isn't happy. The moment Brenda meets Rever they are drawn together. Will Brenda have to become her dead bound's brother's bound or can she tempt Rever to take her as his?

I love Rever and Brenda, the challenges they faced. You could tell right away that they both cared deeply for each other and wanted to be together. Rever's bound; Tina, is a shrew of a human and I wanted to end her myself more than a few times. The story has twists and I loved every one. I felt like Laurann had taken me to Zorn and it is one place I never want to leave. This book shows that even if you are beautiful but have a hateful heart that true beauty is what really matters. I loved this book and it just adds to this series.
