He Loves You Not

Title: He Loves You Not
Author: Tara Brown
Genre: RomCom
Publisher: Skyscape
Publication Date: October 23rd, 2018

How can a fidelity test possibly go wrong? In this sweet and sexy romance, international bestselling author Tara Brown counts the ways…

Among her superrich friends, Lacey Winters never minded being the “poor one.” That is, until her tuition money and big dreams vanish overnight. Now Lacey has a plan to make some extra cash—a devilishly brilliant plan. For a fee, she’ll test your boyfriend to find out if he’s faithful or a cheating jerk. Her next target: a slick and sexy trust-fund playboy.

Unfortunately for Lacey, his charms aren’t just legend. And before she knows it, she’s under his spell.

It was bad enough that Jordan Somersby’s father forced a spoiled “society princess” on him.

Then Jordan had to go and find his dream girl—the beautiful, fun, and down-to-earth Lacey.

And he’ll do anything to prove he’s sincere. But pretty soon it’ll be Lacey’s turn to prove that this is not just a game.

Because, when it comes to mixing love and deception, nothing is what it seems. And Lacey and Jordan are about to face the ultimate test.

I believe growing up in a really small town gives a person a little advantage when it comes to the imagination. You need one or you go mad.

Needless to say, mine saved me. After it got me into trouble first, that is. That's the problem with a vivid imagination, all the lies you tell.

I am happily married with two daughters.

I have two giant dogs, two savage cats, and a penchant for a glass of red.

Also, I drag my bread through the sauce. I can't help myself, bread is life.

According to my age, I am meant to be a responsible adult, but it isn't going well at all. I would still head off to Hogwarts tomorrow and I suspect there isn't a single wardrobe I haven't crept into, hoping to find the door to Narnia.

And don't even get me started on the King's Road, I get lost.

Fortunately, I am an international bestseller so I have wormed my way into a quirky or eccentric category.

Thank God for that.

Fling Club

Title: Fling Club
Author: Tara Brown
Genre: RomCom
Publisher: Skyscape
Publication Date: August 14th, 2018

Blurb:

It’s revenge—sweet and hot—in the first book of this sexy and wickedly funny series by international bestselling author Tara Brown.

For the young, rich, and beautiful, summertime in the Hamptons means one thing: Fling Club. Only this time, Cherry Kennedy won’t be selecting a boy for a fleeting romance. Nope, this season, Cherry is out for revenge. Her target? The Fling Club founder and society darling who slept with Cherry’s now-very-ex-boyfriend. And all Cherry needs is the perfect guy for her plan…

Ashley Jardine can’t afford to refuse. He scored almost a full ride to MIT. But that almost still costs a lot. And this is so much money for a little game of revenge and a chance—albeit short—to live the high life. Here, rich girls rule the shore, and everyone has a role to play.

Only nothing in the job description warned Ashley that the redhead who’s running the scheme would be so crazy. And cute. Or that he wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about her.

Now, everything is going according to plan—until an unexpected attraction raises the stakes. It’s enough to turn the perfect payback into absolute heartbreak.

The Last Hour

Title: The Last Hour
Author: Tara Brown
Genre: YA Dystopian

From the trees, I can smell them—smell their fear.

They’re scared as they scurry like animals.

They look different now.

Clothes are ripped.

Hair is dirty.

It’s not them I’m watching for.

They don’t know it, but I’m watching over them.

They move silently, not making noise.

It’s a different world.

Everything is quiet.

The prey moves differently here.

The others listen—always listening.

Silence was survival.

But what are we all surviving for?

Blood & Bone Series

Title: Blood & Bone Series
Author: Tara Brown
Genre: YA SciFi/Mystery

What would you do if your life was a lie—and everyone knew but you?
Jane has come a long way from the dark days of the horrific car accident that robbed her of many memories. Living the life of a shopgirl with a charming boyfriend—a handsome, green-eyed doctor named Derek—is so satisfying that she doesn’t want to revisit her past.

But the past insists on revisiting Jane. People keep thinking she’s Samantha, a dead girl who looks exactly like her. Now, Jane is determined to discover her connection to the girl, leading her to question everything from her relationship with Derek to her own sanity.

Should she believe Rory, the man who insists she actually is Samantha? Or should she depend on Derek, who offers her love and shelter…but who may have other reasons for keeping her under wraps? Who is telling her the truth—and what are the others hiding?

Blurb:

Not even the warning label on the experimental project could have prepared Jane Spears for the nightmare she would walk into when the Ashley Potter case landed in her lap. Deep inside the victim’s mind, Jane finds clues hinting at the worst crimes she has ever come upon. But the bread crumbs don’t lead anywhere, and in the waking light Jane discovers nothing is as she believed. The conspiracy goes deeper than she can reveal, and the crimes are too hideous to leave unsolved. Can she stop it all in time, or will she be sucked in—trapped by the deranged mastermind?

Blurb:

Being a mind runner isn’t easy, but catching criminals is all that matters to Jane Spears.

Though her job may be gruesome, she’s not willing to stop just yet. And even as she admires the ring from her fiancé, she has no intention of letting a wedding sidetrack her work—not when she’s about to delve into the darkest mind she’s ever encountered.

As she starts to explore the twisted ruins of a sociopath’s psyche, Jane realizes she may have finally met her match. She knew this case would be a challenge, but she didn’t expect to get caught in a mind-bending nightmare. Because this irredeemable murderer seems to know something about Jane that even she doesn’t—something unspeakable lurking in her past. Can she escape the killer’s derangement unscathed and ready to walk down the aisle?

In the Fading Light

Title: In the Fading Light
Author: Tara Brown
Genre: YA Fantasy

Blurb:
This isn’t the story I wish it were.
It isn’t a love story.
It isn’t anything close to love.
I am sorry for that.
Please try to see the light in the dark.

Because it is there, hidden and frightened it will always be overshadowed.

In the fading light of dawn, Estelle feels the magic set upon her, changing her, allowing her eyes to meet his for the briefest of moments.

Where fingers cannot grasp and lips cannot meet, love still somehow grows.

But what is love if it is based on lies?

Cursed by a creature of legends, Estelle and her love Edmond must find a way to free themselves so they may be together finally.

Of course, not everything is as it seems. In fact, very little is.

From the madness in the monastery of the Silent Brothers to the bedroom in the rolling hills where her sister died, Estelle finds herself on a mission for redemption and revenge.

Dressed as a pleasure house whore, she must find a way to repay the blood debt owed to each of her siblings before she can ever escape the curse and rule her lands.

Unfortunately she discovers each tale she is told is a lie.

For every bit of truth there is a side she is not told.

Prepare yourself for the fantasy ride you have been waiting for.

Tara Brown weaves a tale meant to mess with your mind and leave you breathless.

If you loved Vengeance or The Roses, you will find yourself pulled in, desperately lost, and left broken with this one as well.

This is a standalone fantasy novel, mature readers recommended.

Excerpt from Roommates:
“Wanna go for dinner?” I test the water after a minute. She sighs and gives me a look, stopping us both in the middle of the street during the busiest time of day. I drag her to the side of the building we are next to and hold her tight. “No. I want you to come to our place for dinner. I’m tired and I want to put on something grungy and maybe force you to watch something girlie.” “Okay.” I wrinkle my nose. “Rough week?” “No. Just tired because it’s new, and I’m still lost and I miss Hartford and all the people and how fun it was. But I’m catching on and a girl named Linna was nice to me today. She sat with me at lunch and we talked. She’s from Providence too. She said you guys were in seventh grade together, but you probably won’t remember her. Dark hair and blue eyes and really pretty.” My insides clench. “Linna Mackenzie?” “Yeah!” Her eyes are wide and then they dull. “Really?” She reads my face like a book. “You are why I can’t have nice things.” I bend down and kiss her cheek. “You are my nice thing.” How the fuck is it possible she works with a girl I fucked when I was fifteen? Fuck! “You are everything.” She makes duck lips and looks off to the right. Her sour mood is going strong tonight and I suspect I am the cause of it all. “Do you want to go back to Hartford?” I run my hands along her neck and cheek. She’s cold. Her bright eyes widen as she lifts her face to mine and shrugs. “I don't know. I need to give this more of a chance, I think.” I bend and kiss her softly. “Whatever you want to do, I’m with you on it. I already told you that.” She melts into me and lets me hold her. “And I’m sorry about Linna. I was fifteen.” She laughs against my lips. “You should trade out West.” I shake my head. “That won’t help.” She pulls back and rolls her eyes. “Gross.”
