Oak Ridge is the mansion where the heinous Montgomery family reside. A place where subterfuge, blackmail and murder have become the order of the day.
Challenging the Montgomery family is never an option – defeating them impossible.
All three women are forced to take them on. But only one of them is confident of victory because she’s watched and learned from the masters themselves.
Working as a nurse in the NHS, Joy Wood has been
creating stories in her head for years, but never found the time to do anything
with them – life just got in the way somehow. Seven years ago, she was made
redundant and moved to the picturesque seaside town of Cleethorpes in
Lincolnshire. She loves nothing better than walking along the seafront and
thinking up ideas for stories. Her debut novel ‘For the Love of Emily’ was
written by Joy “just to see if she could really,” – she had no idea it would
sell like it did and continues to do so. Joy is quick to point out it is most definitely
one for adults only!
Joy continued for a number of years to write
romance with ‘adult content’ but decided after five books, she’d like change
genre slightly. Romance is still her preference, therefore all her books have
that theme running through them, but now they are more crime/thriller based.
Her last two books have been a great success ‘Who’s Smiling Now?’ and ‘Getting
away with Murder’. Her new release, ‘Secrets and Lies’ is Joy’s seventh book
which is a domestic noir about three women who are bound together by a link to
the heinous Montgomery family. Challenging the family is never an
option – defeating them impossible. But
all three women are forced to take them on . . .
