Hailey's life has been horrific and the way H.J. Marshall told her story was nothing short of incredible. I understood the horrors of her young life but they were not sensationalized for the story. Hailey's story was told with a depth that had me understanding and wanting to protect her from any more of the world's horrors. Then we have Jacob "Hatchet" whom I fell in love with from the beginning. He is protective of Hailey but not so much it blankets her independence she has fought so hard for. Both Jacob and Hailey have scars but they can be broken together. Not to be forgotten is Jasmine and the love her and Hailey have for each other. I love this MC family and how once you are part of Death Hounds you are family forever. Many secrets and twists were exposed and what a great read. I know H.J. Marshall has more for her readers down the road and I personally can't wait for Hawks story.
