Katie smiled and pressed her forefinger to her lips, “shhh.” She whispered, pulling him under a tree behind a small snowbank. She waved her hand, and a red blanket appeared on the ground, and a small fire crackled in front of them. “Oh, home away from home.” She said, slipping off her cloak.
“It’s warm here. Can you feel it?” She asked.
“How?” He smiled before slipping off his cloak and laying it on top of hers.
“Magic, my dear husband. We are quite alone too. I have placed a barrier—no one can see us, and no one can enter. We will be quite warm here, and we can do whatever we want.” Snapping her fingers, a seat appeared, and she sat on it, patting the space next to her.
“Come sit.”
Colm obliged, and they began to relax. They noticed from their vantage point that the Saxon party had shown up; Lancelot, Merlin, and Arthur showed them into the monastery. “Well, they will be inside for a while, and that gives us time alone together.”
Katie turned in the seat, her back now facing Colm so he could help unlace her corset and untie her skirts. She stood, letting the skirt fall to the ground, and Colm smoothed his hands up her body as he stood up, cupped her breasts in his hands; he leaned in, kissing her passionately, then kissed a trail down her neck to her shoulder, sending tiny goosebumps to her core. Katie tugged at his shirt and pulled it over his head.
“Are you sure no one can see?” He asked, glancing around them.
She guided his head back toward her with the tips of her fingers. “I’m sure, my darling. Forget all and concentrate on making love to your wife.” She took his lips with hers and whispered, “We can stop if you want to, Colm. I’ll not force you.” She grinned.
Colm held her tighter “That could never happen.”
He kissed her deeper as his hands found all the right spots. Their heated passion was quickly interrupted by the sound of an explosion that shook the area. The two froze, and Katie snapped her fingers.
They were immediately clothed and running toward the blast. Within seconds they stood next to Merlin and face-to-face with the Lady of the Lake.
