The next chapter in Anita Blake's story. She is a Vampire Slayer/Necromancer that raises Zombies for a living. Not to mention a member of the Spook Squad with the Police. The Master of the City; Jean-Claude has involved her yet again in Vampire politics when others want what she has. In the middle of all this she meets Richard who is more than he seems.

I love this series and I have to say it is probably my favorite vampire/paranormal series. It has a little bit for everyone. It is definitely a must read series. You don't have to read them in order but the story is better if you do. This is book three in the series and it is when Richard comes to the forefront in her life all the while trying to fend off Jean-Claude who wants everything from her. She fights rogue vampires and anti-vampire hate groups all while being the badass that she is.
