Beautiful and heartfelt read. Samuel worked for the Vampire Council and was in trouble for some hog washed charges. He was going to spend his last few week with his best friend, Sterling, and his family. His trip to Vermont was anything but exciting.

Louise is Sterling’s mother in law and is getting divorced. Her sap of a husband is no good and never had been. She fears this will be her last Christmas in her house and the end to her charity work.

Samuel and Louise are taken with one another from the very beginning. In getting to know each other, she learns of his issues with the Council and wants nothing more than to help him. Can they get to the bottom of what really happened or will he be sentences to his death?

This book was such a great read. The writing was excellent and the storyline will take hold of your heart and not let go. Highly recommend.
