Penn is on his way to get Elle back but Greg has other ideas. Truth and Lies duet comes to completion in this story that Pepper Winters weaves around her readers. I have to honestly say I loved this book more than the first. It had everything I could ever want in a book: action, redemption, love, hate, justice and steamy scenes. Penn is the ultimate alpha male but he doesn't dominate Elle as she is his perfect counterpart. Elle is strong and willing to fight for what she wants. This book dives more into the story between them and how just one action changed the course of both their lives.

I HIGHLY recommend this book. You don't need to read book one but it will make more sense to read them together. Crown of Lies is actually on audio and done very well, so check that out. Pepper Winters always amazes me with how she can write something about a very hard subject and make it so it doesn't sensationalize that trauma. She makes it so the reader gets a better understanding of the pain and hurt the character goes through. I have not read anything from her that I didn't want to read again and again. I cannot wait to see what she gives her readers next because I will be first in line for that book.
