As the owner of a
successful florist shop, Khloe Harper trusts her instincts. She has a strong
bond with her family and friends, but after being betrayed by her last
love, she's kept herself at arms’ length from romance. When dashing
entertainment attorney Derek Thomas walks into her store, Khloe’s interest is
piqued. What at first seems like a business relationship quickly turns into
romance, and Derek slowly plucks away the petals she’s been hiding behind.
Just as Khloe lets down her guard, she discovers that Derek may not be worthy
of her love after all.
Frumpy Connie Albright has a faux fascination with an imaginary man named Walt, thinking that by sending herself flowers from him she’ll feel less out-of-place with the “mean girls” she works with. When she comes face to face with her possible prince charming and thinking she might have a happy ending, when a truth is revealed, she wonders if she’ll ever have a Cinderella story.
A recently widowed senior, Gabby Lewis, isn't ready to give up on love—which means releasing herself from survivor's guilt and taking a chance on finding happiness and companionship again. After signing up for an online dating site for senior citizens, much to her surprise, she’s matched with Harry, an energetic and loving man, who quickly eases himself into her heart. Will Gabby take the leap of falling in love again, knowing it’s possible to have two loves of her life?
As each woman’s story develops through flowers and cards sent from Khloe's shop during the Fall months, they begin to learn that love can only truly blossom when you trust your heart.

MOTIVATION FOR WRITERS
Whether being an author is your main or second occupation, no matter what we do, we all have those days where we’re not motivated. You know, those days where coffee/tea, a workout, a bath, or even sex can’t get you in the right frame of mind. I know, it sucks! So, here are five tips on what I helps motivate me to continue working on my current WIP.
1. Spotify: Music is a great thing that can help complete your book. One great things about Spotify is that you can create a playlist for your books. Find songs that remind you of your character and/or story, then listen to them as you write. I’ve done this for a month and it really works.
2. Pinterest: Visuals are a plus! Start a Pinterest board and cast your book, whether it be locations, people, significant facts, etc. Seeing your book come to life can be a a great motivator to help you continue an be excited about your WIP.
3. Watch TV: TV shows are great to help work on description. From describing a person’s body language, etc. the list goes on. Though, one thing I recommend, is that it not be a show you really enjoy. For this, your lesson is to look, listen, and learn about what to do with your characters.
4. Pomodoro Technique: If you’ve not heard of the Pomodoro Technique, you must stop what you’re doing right now and learn about it. This has helped me not only write my books, but edit them, too. I try my best to do six sessions of twenty-five minutes a day, and you’d be surprised how many words that can be. Though, the one thing about this, is that you don’t think—you just write. Don’t worry about grammar, thoughts, feeling, or anything, you just do it. If you give it five to seven days, I’m guaranteed that not only will you have learned something about yourself, you’ll have written more than you thought you could.
5. Read: While my days vary and aren’t always consistent, I try to find time to read before bed—not only does it help relax me, but it also inspires me to get in the mood for writing the following day. I strongly suggest it be a book within the same genre in which you’re writing. As tired as you might be, and you just have to read one more chapter, think about what the author does to draw you in.
