Elle at the age of 19 is feeling trapped by the legacy her father has put upon her since she was little. She wants one night to feel like a "normal" person and not the heiress with all the pressures and expectations. Little does she know that one night will shape her future more than she can expect. Three years later that night resonates in her mind. When she meets Penn Everett, he seems to bring back so much of that fateful night, but why? Secrets will be revealed and past resentments will lead Elle on a path she may not recover from.

I love the books by Pepper Winters, this one was no exception. I loved the story and how she once again left me guessing what is next. I cannot wait for the next book. Elle's character is strong and fitting of who she is. You don't know what she will choose to do and what she does choose leaves you speechless. Penn is mysterious and dangerous all rolled into an delicious package. I wanted to hate him and his domineering ways but I found myself rooting for him. Their chemistry is off the charts and burnt up my kindle. I do have to admit that I found the story a little slow in the beginning as it built up but that didn't detract from the story. I felt it was an amazing read and I cannot wait until the next book is released.
