Dr. Allison Baker has been working with New Species at Homeland and enjoys being able to help where she can. She is excellent at her job. When everyone is ready to give up on 880, a comatose New Species male she does the unthinkable to save his life. She kidnaps him and lays with him, marking him with her scent. He wakes up in a rage when the task force finds them and tries to subdue Allison. He must save her until he realizes she is human, just like the doctors that hurt him. Even though he is fighting his instincts he finds he wants her. He will do anything to make her his and if anyone gets in his way he will fight them to the death.

I loved this story of 880 who later becomes Obsidian. It was a story of courage and survival. Allison will do anything to save the New Species male who has become to mean so much to her. Obsidian fights to keep her by his side. There are things pulling them apart. This truly is a story of love and struggle to be with the one you feel you belong with. Of course it is a book by Laurann Dohner, so you know there is hot scenes that will melt your kindle. This series just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to see what is next.
