This book continues right where His Wounded Rose left off. We find Sully alone and dealing with the mess he has made of his life. He is unable to open up to Olivia and this pushes her further away. She also has to contend with the fact that Kelly still has strong feelings for him. Olivia is continuing forward with her life but she has a secret that she is afraid to tell Sully. So when Arnav sends footage of the current project and finds out that someone he and Olivia never hoped to see again is working side by side with her in her upcoming adventure; Sully hops on the next plane to find her. What was suppose to be an exciting adventure at an Archaeological dig site is turning into something that none of them may survive. Blood will be spilled and ghosts of the past come back to haunt Sully and endanger everyone around him, included Olivia.

Wow! I didn't think this series could get any better and boy was I wrong. Lisagh really knows how to seduce a reader in and want them never to leave. Excellent story line and I loved how the characters are developing from what I read from the beginning of this series. Definitely a must read series and should be read in order. Lisagh you did it again and I was blown away.

In this book, Olivia goes on a mission with Sully and he has no idea that she is pregnant. She decides to tell him when she gets home.

Unfortunately, Sully finds out from their boss and goes directly to California. When they see each other, they both realize they cannot be apart.

They start their journey to the site and its very hard for Olivia. Sully worries every step of the way.

When they enter the mine, everything falls apart. They learn that this trip is a setup for Sully to die.

Little did hey know that his dad was involved too.

Olivia is determined to set Sully free and this action puts her in labor and gets Sully shot.

This book was excellent. The story-line and characters really bring this book into a full circle of love, death and life.
