A very pleasant shifter adventure. Bastian is a wolf alpha trying to convince Alice she is his fated mate. But she has an unusual history that causes her to drag her feet. Her best friend's wedding brings her to town and with her grandfather's counsel she accepts Bastian's mating. Then enemies from her past surface and along with a traitor within the pack, suspense builds with exciting fervor. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Lovers of good shifter stories will love this treat.

Beautifully written book about a love that the past is determine to undermine. A strong Alpha that will let nothing stand in his way of protecting his mate.

Alice knew she was Sebastian's mate but feared her families secret past would stop it all. When she finally agrees to meet him, things go great and even with the past out in the open, he agrees to take in her family and the entire clan. When she finds out that her father may indeed be alive, she begs Sebastian to find him. He does but it brings a new set of problems into his own group. He knows he has to protect everyone and he doesn't stop until they are safe. He then sets his sights on his lovely mate and her shifting. His love and loyalty are supreme. Alice gives him exactly what he needs and their love is unstoppable.

This for me was a really good read. I think this can be read as a standalone, but would be better to read them from the beginning to understand how they met and knew how they realized they were mates. Alice is funny and isn't scared to speak her mind. And Stefan is the alpha of alphas but with Alice he is such a softie. The story line is incredible and flows so well. The way the characters flow together and the surprise aspect keeps you going.
