Tore is finding life very hard after everything that has happened. He is drinking all the time and having issues holding down a job. Rune, Johan and Kjell pick up his slack but that doesn’t last very long. Then Johan goes thru his transition and things come to a head. Johan leaves and Tore is soon to follow.

This book follows the men but the story really lies with Eva. They have all abandoned her and she is strong enough to survive and thrive. Johan is the first to come back and he is shocked that everyone left her on her own. Within a few days, all the boys are back and they are persistent in finding Tore. When Eva’s transition is known to the boys, they need Tore now more than ever.

Tore is slowly making his back to his children, He knows now that he should have never let them go. This book was heartbreaking to read. I love Eva and her ability to survive. Tore is struggling and hurting but I do believe that the only thing that will make him well, is his children.
